How did you get into shooting photos?

I went to vocational school my junior and senior years of high school.  I was interested in photography, so I took it there.  From then on I was in love.

What is the skateboarding scene like in Ohio?

Bitchin.  We call it either the “city of rain” or the “land of humidity” and there are lots of people stoked to skate day and night.

What skaters in Ohio kill it?

Man!  Way to many to mention them all!  Ok here are a few… Dave Ackels, Payton caudill, Aaron Lane, Adam Tipton, Rick Jenkins, Evan Koogler, J.B. Shock, Joe Staley, Jason Hill, and many many more.

How often do you guys go out and shoot?

At least once a week, but sometimes mother nature decides when we go out.

Any Ohio based up and coming skate brands we should know about?

Darkroom for sure, run by Element’s artist Don Pendelton (he lives out of Kettering Ohio.)  www.darkroomlabs.com

Have you ever been published in any magazines or websites?

Yep,  I submit regularly to STUCKmag and skateohio.com.  I also had an image on the cover of Parade magazine in March 2005.

What are your favorite skateboard magazines to read?

STUCKmag, Thrasher, Transworld, Skateboarder, Truckstop, and Worked.

Do you have any skate trips planned for the summer?

We just got back from Columbus, but future plans have been made for Louisville, Chicago, Cleveland, and Indianapolis.

Do you ever spend any time on the West Coast?

Nah, but I heard it’s nice.

Anyone you want to give thanks or props to?

Whew! Here comes a lot…

I want to thank my mom, and my grandpa for all the support!  Jay Vada and Troy Baker for all the great information in school, and for still being there for me when I need you!  Also all the guys that skated with me when I first started shooting, and dealing with my experiments!  I also want to thank Payton Caudill, Aaron Lane, Adam Tipton, J.B. Shock, and Rick Jenkins for being my test dummies!  My girlfriend Kristie for all your support and understanding (anyone who can deal with my madness, deserves a thanks) and anyone who I have ever met or came across in my life journey, you all have made me who I am today.
