Malmö, Sweden - This was a great symbol to look at : Nicky Guerrero, scandinavian skateboarding legend and Rune Glifberg together on the highest step of the Quiksilver Bowlriders 2008 in Malmö.

For sure, this is the strong image of this 9th edition of the event, prestigious leg of the World Cup of Skateboarding (WCS).

I'm stocked that both Nicky and I won. He's been my lifetime inspiration". 33 year old Danish skateboarder Rune Glifberg adds another great win to his amazing prize list. At the same time, he gets a 9000 euros prize money and a Suzuki motorbike.

Rune Glifberg is an international skateboarding star since the 80's and one of most recognized European skateboarders in the US. This year, he won the Quiksilver Bowlriders for the second time in a row.

As he did last year, Rune impressed the crowd with his self-control and consistent skateboard, knocking down all his opponents. His huge backside disaster on the wall, cab heel flips backside tail side seduced the 5 judges.

An authentic skateboarding star was born today in Malmö. The 18 years old American rookie Aaron Homoki eclipsed the favourites with his inspired and energic riding. He finished second of the event for his first participation in a big contest.

Concerning the Masters contest the Danish Nicky Guerrero won. Scandinavian skateboarding star posted a strong win over American favourite Chris Miller. After placing fourth in the final of the main event last year, Guerrero blew up the final with his legendary inverts, kick flips and Madonna.
