New York – The AST Dew Tour, the world’s premier season-long action sports tour, today announced the roster of athletes that are set to compete at the Right Guard Open in Cleveland, Ohio, July 17-20 at North Coast Harbor.
Over 250 of the best action sports athletes in the world will be in Cleveland to compete in the four-day competition, including Youngstown natives Anthony Napolitan and brother Ronnie Napolitan (both will compete in BMX Dirt and Park), Olympic Gold medalist Shaun White (Skateboard Vert), MTV ‘Life of Ryan’ superstar Ryan Sheckler (Skateboard Park), and BMX legend Dave Mirra (BMX Park).
“Our goal at each tour stop is to provide the highest level of competition for our athletes and fans,” said Wade Martin, AST President. “The lineup of athletes for the Right Guard Open promises to provide premier action for the fans on-site in Cleveland and those tuning into the broadcast.”
“I was disappointed to miss the Baltimore stop because of a crash my second day back skating,” said Shaun White, Olympic Gold Medalist and ’07 Skateboard Vert Dew Cup champion. “I lost a month of practice so I’m excited for Cleveland; it will only be my second event of the year.”

Entering its fourth year, the AST Dew Tour is the most watched and attended action sports property in the world. Attendance for the 2007 AST Dew Tour totaled 280,000 and an average of 41 million viewers tuned in via NBC and USA each year. The top athletes in the world will take part in this year’s Tour, all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded in Orlando at season’s end to champions in each of the six disciplines. The 2007 Dew Cup winners include Nate Adams (Freestyle Motocross), Jamie Bestwick (BMX Vert), Ryan Nyquist (BMX Dirt), Daniel Dhers (BMX Park), Shaun White (Skateboard Vert) and Ryan Sheckler (Skateboard Park).
