The AmSlam is an amateur skate contest series happening throughout San Diego this summer. Each contest has four divisions and each division can hold up to 30 participants. Registration is open to everyone! But you gotta sign up early if you want a spot. Each skater must pre-register for the amslam on the boost kiosks inside any Sun Diego location. Registration is open for 2 weeks only before each event. Skaters must register for each contest separately. Entry fee is $20 per contest. The AmSlam is a points-based series, which means skaters will work to accumulate points all summer and those with the highest points will advance to the Grand Finale event on August 24th. Although there will be some great prizes and trophies given out to top placing skaters at each stop, it is the winners of the Finals that will take home the cash and the title of Sun Diego’s 2008 AmSlam Champion!
The four divisions are:
Ages12 and under: This one’s for all the little shredders learning their kickflips Ages13-15: I got my kickflips down a 4 stair Ages16-18: I got my kickflips down an 8 stair Advanced: Open to all ages of advanced skill level.
Question: “I’m 16, why would I skate in the Advanced when I could probably win the lower division?” Answer: The Advanced skaters will earn more points and win fatter prizes. If you got the skills, this is where you should be.

Invite only based on accumulated points.
