ALI has now been upgraded to an out patient, as of Sunday the 24th of June ALI has been staying in his new apartment just around the corner from the hospital. He will be under the watchfull eye of his girlfriend and will have doctor visits throughout the week and will still be reporting to the hospital for physiotherapy 3 times a week. ALI is walking completely unassisted and was last seen at Ikea in Melbourne purchasing Swedish meatballs. The next thing you know, he will be lawn bowling with all the old age pensioners... Ali is currently making good progress in his recovery. After leaving the PTA (post traumatic amnesia) ward he has been able to walk unassisted to his bathroom, where the nurses happily wash him in the shower, much to Ali's distaste, as he was never one for showers in the past. He partakes in physical therapy on a daily basis, each day becoming stronger and stronger due to all of the excellent hospital food that he can now eat since he no longer requires being fed through his stomach. The hospital has even given Ali an electric wheelchair to assist in longer journeys around the hospital and has undergone the advanced electric wheelchair cours, which allows him on short rides on the streets under hospital supervision. During our last contact with Ali he talked about putting some chrome accessories on the wheel chair to pimp it out. So, all in all Ali is making headway in his recovery and the doctors are happy with his amazing progress. Stay tuned at Flip Skateboards for future updates.
