Located at the corner of Portrero and the 101 in the Portrero hood of San Francisco lies this recently built park. A local told me it was 6 years in the making due to various political reasons. Dreamland built the park. The bowl is not “perfect” like say a site design park (Encinitas) is and people will likely not be blasting huge airs in it. Dreamland bowls are all about finding lines and there is a shit load here. They make some of the most creative parks on the planet and Portrero is no exception. The lower flow area has something for everyone; from geezer carvers to kids doing flatground kickflips and at 7:45am on a Saturday there were already young and old people there. If you go to SF, bring your board but that pretty much goes without saying. If you are looking for food, just walk up 2 blocks to 24th street and take a left, plenty of choices.
