Emerica Footwear and Gear welcomes Jerry Hsu to the team this week. He is an amazing addition to the already epic Emerica team. Jerry has already begun working on a pro model shoe [insert huge crowd roaring sound here] and will be coming down to Emerica headquarters next week to start designing some signature Gear that will be just as steezy as his skating!

This week, Andrew Reynolds has been out filming for the upcoming Emerica Stay Gold video in Los Angeles with Beagle. He has also been working on some music with his band, the Goat. Andrew has set up a whole music studio in his house and has been laying down some tracks. Keep an ear out for it on MySpace really soon.

Heath Kirchart is out filming this week around Los Angeles for the upcoming Alien Workshop video. He has also been adding some new custom parts onto his Harley to make it look bad-ass.

Ed Templeton is a super-busy guy all the time. He just finished putting together an Emerica Wild Ride book from the photos that he shot on last year's trip. He’s also been skating the Huntington Beach skatepark. Ed’s new Emerica pro model shoe, the Transist, will be coming out in a couple of months, and he also has a signature shake that is out now. Check it out!

Kevin “Spanky” Long’s knee is feeling a lot better since he’s been riding his bicycle and working it out. Spanky skated the Supreme bowl in Hollywood this week and was stoked to be rolling around again.

Bryan Herman is still recovering from the hangover he received after celebrating his 21st birthday this week. Herman is planning a little trip out to Las Vegas over the weekend to break in his ID at the casinos. Good luck, Bryan!

Leo Romero took a gnarly slam this week while filming for the upcoming Emerica video. He breaks it off so hard when he skates that every once in a while, he gets worked. Leo’s okay, though, and will be sessioning with The Skateboard Mag photographer Adam Conway this weekend.

Braydon Szafranski just flew home from a filming trip down in Melbourne, Australia. He went there to film some sweet tricks for his part in the upcoming Emerica video.

Aaron Suski spent some time in the emergency room this week after taking a slam to his face. He split the top of his nose open between the eyebrows and had to get it stitched up. Suski’s interview in The Skateboard Mag should be out in the next few issues, so look out for that!

Austin Stephens has been on a heavy skate mission lately, shooting a lot of photos with Anthony Acosta and Jon Humphries.

Chris Senn is livin’ life island-style out in Hawaii, where surfing and park shredding are the norm. He will be heading out to Cali soon to attack any and all spots he finds himself at. Check out Senn Dog’s interview in an upcoming issue of TransWorld.

Brandon Westgate flew home to Massachusetts this week after spending some time in Los Angeles filming with Jon Miner. He seriously killed it while he was here. That kid has so much pop! Westgate my boy!

Marquis Preston has been chillin’ in Palmdale, California and skating with his homies from Pharmacy Boardshop. Their Lancaster store is building a mini-ramp and Marquis was recently spotted helping out.

Andrew Reynolds has a little band project going on right now called The Goat with Bryan Herman and Shake Junt pal Shane Heyl. The guys have been writing songs on Andrew’s porch for the past couple of weeks and will be laying some tracks down really soon. Stay on the lookout for The Goat. Oh, and did you see Drew’s backside flip down Wallenberg? Damn!

Heath Kirchart just finished installing a re-built engine on his Harley all by himself. When he’s not tuning up his bike, he’s been tuning up his new Emerica signature shoe, the Kirchart SDK, which will be on the shelves at your local skate shop this coming July. Until then, be sure to check out Heath's CCS ad in the April 2007 issue of Thrasher, and his blunt slide pop in the Crops article in issue 37 of The Skateboard Mag.

Ed Templeton has been finishing up a book about Emerica’s Wild Ride 2006 that he documented last Summer. He has also been skating at the Huntington Beach Skatepark with the Toy Machine team and has a new Emerica signature shoe called the Transist coming out this May.

Kevin “Spanky” Long is still recovering from a minor knee surgery from a little over a month ago. He says it's feeling a lot better and he should be back on his board shredding in the next week or two. In the meantime, Kevin has been staying busy enjoying the nightlife in Hollywood. Just last night, Spanky did a DJ set at one of the local watering holes. You know some Smiths and Morrissey jams were cranked out, for sure! Spanky’s also been cranking out the coverage with a MyPod in issue 38 of The Skateboard Mag and a guest CD reviewer spot in the May 2007 issue of TransWorld--not to mention a whopping 12-page interview and poster back in the March 2007 issue of Thrasher.

Bryan Herman has been doing a lot of hanging out in Hollywood this past week. Aside from jamming with Drew on the guitars, he’s been jamming on his shred sled with Jon Miner filming for the upcoming Emerica Stay Gold video. Be sure to check out his two-page hardflip in the Crops section plus the Ogio ad in issue 38 of The Skateboard Mag, and his big ol' Thunder ad back in the February 2007 issue of Slap.

Leo Romero is currently working on an interview for The Skateboard Mag with his party pal Adam Conway. Leo was sessioning the RVCA ramp this week and will be killing spots around Los Angeles this coming weekend. Did you see his RVCA ad in the April 2007 issue of Thrasher and his Top Five in the April 2007 issue of TransWorld? You better have!

Aaron Suski just returned home to Tucson from the Zoo York Florida tour last week. Suski also finished up an interview for The Skateboard Mag, so keep your eyes open for that issue coming out really soon. Until then, be sure to peep his Payday in the April 2007 issue of TransWorld.

Austin Stephens is out skating with the Toy Machine team and shooting photos with The Skateboard Mag photographer Anthony Acosta.

Chris Senn has been hangin’ loose in Hawaii, skating and surfing his local spots. Senn will be heading out to the SoCal area soon to finish up his interview for TransWorld.

Braydon Szafranski flew down to Australia this week to visit Ali Boulala, who is still in the hospital after his motorcycle accident. Braydon will be skating out there for the next week filming for the Emerica video.

Brandon Westgate is flying out to Los Angeles on Sunday to skate with the Emerica team and have a good time. He has been killing it in the coverage department lately. Pick up just about any mag and you’ll find something from Brandon in there. There's a 5-0 transfer in the Foto section in the March issue of Slap, a boardslide in the The Ams article in the April 2007 issue of Thrasher, some sweet covey in the All Tomorrow's Pros article in issue 37 of The Skateboard Mag, a two-page backside Smith in the Crops article in issue 38, and finally a frontside Ollie and hardflip in the Don't Mess With Zoo York article in the May 2007 issue of TransWorld. Needless to say, Westcool is getting warmer. This kid is on fire, I tell you! FIRE!

Matt Allen went out to Phoenix last week with the Pharmacy Boardshop team for the Phoenix Am contest, and there were 10 guys in the RV the whole time!

Marquis Preston was recently spotted belting out a big ol' frontside flip in the The Ams article in the April 2007 issue of Thrasher, flow rider Zach Lyons scored a Check Out in the April 2007 issue of TransWorld, and even good ol' filmer Jon Miner got in on all the coverage action with a back lip in issue 37 of The Skateboard Mag. Whew! So, be sure to check out all 'dem mags! Emerica goin' off!

To pass the time, he has been hanging out in New York and back at his pad in Los Angeles, where he’s been hosting some epic barbeques on his rooftop.

Austin Stephens just got back from a weekend trip up to San Francisco with some of the Toy Machine team. He has been taking some classes on photography in Long Beach and he’s stoked on shooting photos lately.

Matt Allen moved back to Victorville and has been skating with the Pharmacy Boardshop team a lot. He recently totaled his car, but he's okay and the accident wasn’t his fault. Matt just got an insurance check this week to buy a new whip. Stoked!

In the meantime, be sure to check out Heath's Timeline in issue 34 of The Skateboard Mag.

Kevin “Spanky” Long was supposed to go on the Baker tour, but injured his knee and had to have minor surgery. Spanky will be back on his board in about a month. Heath Kirchart is on a filming mission with Alien Workshop in the San Francisco bay area. He has been stacking up footage for their upcoming video, which is yet to be titled. Scope Heath's That's How I Roll article in the September issue of Skateboarder and his Home Page article in the December issue of TransWorld Skateboarding.

Ed Templeton is putting the finishing touches on his part for the upcoming Toy Machine Suffer The Joy video, which will be premiering in November. Check out the trailer. Also see Ed's Top Five article in the November issue of TransWorld Skateboarding.

Kevin “Spanky” Long, Leo Romero and Austin Stephens are on the RVCA East Coast tour this week. You can meet the guys on October 17 at Elite Skateshop in Fairfax, Virginia and on October 18 at Dominion Skateshop in Richmond, Virginia. Speaking of Leo, he just got a tailslide pop-out photo in the December issue of Skateboarder.

Bryan Herman did some home improvement over the weekend and installed hardwood floors in his house. He went out to Hollywood yesterday to skate with Beagle. Herman will also be representing Regular at GvR. Don't miss his two-page kickflip photo on the Contents page of The Skateboard Mag issue 31, and a Top Five article in the October issue of TransWorld Skateboarding.

Chris Senn is a little shaken up after an earthquake rocked his area early Sunday morning. He and his family are all okay and, luckily, there was no damage done to his house. Chris is going to fly out to Cali for the weekend to represent Regular with Drew and Herman at GvR. Check Senn's frontside Indy (ha-ha) transfer photo in the This Ain't No Marseille article in the September issue of Thrasher.

Aaron Suski is mourning the loss of his dog, Bella, who was put to sleep this week due to bone cancer. He wanted us to post this photo of Bella in loving memory. Suski is going to go on little road trip with his girlfriend to get away for a little while. We are sorry about your loss, Aaron.

Braydon Szafranski is resting up a heel bruise he got while skating a hefty set of stairs in Los Angeles while shooting photos with Atiba Jefferson. Braydon wants to go back to get his trick as soon as his heel feels better. He is also planning on skating the GvR contest this weekend with his Regular foot brothers. Until then, don't miss Braydon and Drew's Cohorts article in the September issue of Skateboarder.

Brandon Westgate scored himself a tall front tail photo in the October issue of TransWorld Skateboarding and a sweet eight-page interview in the November 2006 issue of Slap. He racked up some sick photos from both the East and West coasts. Nice job, Brandon!

He will be heading out on the road with Foundation Skateboards directly after the contest, navigating their way up to the great Northwest. Matt also recently scored a front heel photo in the Adventures in Babysitting article in the October issue of Thrasher.

Emerica: Team Report 09-19-06

Andrew Reynolds has been shredding around Los Angeles lately. He will be flying out to New York later this week for an Altamont Apparel product launch party.

Heath Kirchart is roaming around the East Coast in a van with some of the Alien Workshop team. They are in search of epic skate spots to film for their upcoming Kill Trend Continuum video.

Ed Templeton and Austin Stephens are getting in their last licks for the upcoming Toy Machine Suffer The Joy video, which is due out sometime before the holidays. The filming deadline is looming, so you can bet that some carnage is going to find its way into the vid.

Kevin “Spanky” Long and Leo Romero are on their way to Italy this week on a RVCA tour. They will start in Milan and travel down to Rome. Leo just moved out of the Emerica Mansion II and has relocated to Costa Mesa into a pad of his own. Happy magazine just ran a big 10-page article in their September 2006 issue featuring a bunch of portrait photography Leo shot. First Ed and now Leo…jeez, Emerica sure does love to nurture the art fags. As for Spanky, he just returned home from a family trip to Alaska, where they were hangin’ out with some wildlife ’n’ shit.

Bryan Herman and Braydon Szafranski are flying out to Utrecht, Holland to attend a Wild in The Streets event at 12:00 noon this coming Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Griftpark Utrecht. Our European office is putting on the event to try to save a spot called The Yard, which has been a big part of the skate scene in Utrecht. Braydon was recently spotted at the ASR trade show hanging out with Sun Ra. Just kidding, that's the Bishop.

Aaron Suski is chilling at home in Tucson, Arizona before heading out to New York to hook up with Brandon Westgate and the Zoo York crew. They will be going to Canada for the Am Getting Paid contest in Montreal. Zoo York released a promo DVD at the ASR trade show last week with some insane Suski and Westgate footage. If you get a chance, check it out.

As we reported last week, Chris Senn is on the cover of this month’s TransWorld Skateboarding, getting gnarly, as usual, by grinding over the top of a full pipe in China. He is in SoCal right now, finishing up filming for the Oakley Our Life video. Somehow, we managed to snap a photo of the elusive Senn-Dog recently. It's probably the first new photo of him to be posted here on the site in a good two or three years, so you better enjoy it.

Matt Allen just finished up shooting a “Heads” for Thrasher that should be out fairly soon. He has also been stacking up footage for the upcoming Foundation Cataclysmic Abyss video.

Team Report 08-25-06

Andrew Reynolds, Bryan Herman, Leo Romero and Braydon Szafranski have returned home from representing Baker on Thrasher's King of the Road Tour. Ed Templeton and Austin Stephens have also returned home to sunny SoCal, bro. Ed drove the Toy Machine van and busted out a bunch of tricks on the list of challenges.

Austin went along just for the fun of it. He celebrated his birthday on Monday with the Toy Machine team. Happy Birthday, Austin! The guys are pretty beat, but were able to rack up a ton of points, so we’ll find out this weekend which team is crowned King of the Road for 2006.

This past weekend, Heath Kirchart, Kevin Long, Matt Allen and Marquis Preston went out to New York for the Back to the Banks contest. We met up with Brandon Westgate and hung out and had some good times. Matt Allen won the Best Overall Skater Award and went home with $1000 in dollar bills.

On Sunday, we went KCDC in Brooklyn to hang out, sign some posters and skate the mini-ramp. Marquis, who is on flow for Chocolate skateboards, then flew out to Kansas City to meet up with the Chocolate team to finish up the Badass Meets Dumbass Tour. Kevin stayed out in New York this week and is flying home today. Heath is heading up to the Bay Area to film for the upcoming Alien Workshop video with Greg Hunt.

Aaron Suski just went home to Tucson, Arizona. He had been recently spotted schralping around in the Pacific Northwest on a TransWorld trip, hitting up a bunch of skateparks. “Camping, skating, swimming, campfires, you know how we do,” said good ol' Suskiwoo.

Chris Senn recently got broke off. He is at home in Hawaii right now, recovering from a broken hand, ribs and collarbone. Senn broke his hand skating his backyard ramp a little while back. Then the week after that, he skated the Volcom Meadows contest in Mammoth, California and took a gnarly slam that broke some ribs and his collarbone.

“The whole time I’ve skated, I’ve never broken a bone, and then I break three in just a couple of weeks!” Senn commented. He will be back on his board next weekend for the Downtown Showdown contest at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.

Emerica: Team Report 02-22-06

Andrew Reynolds has been hanging out with his parents, who are in town from Florida. He made some time this past weekend to go out filming with Leo Romero in Calabasas, just north of L.A.

Heath Kirchart has been battling the freezing temperatures in Urbandale, Iowa to get his new Subsect skate shop ready for the big Grand Opening and Emerica signing and demo this Saturday, February 25. So, come on out and meet Heath, Andrew, Spanky, Leo and Herman at the shop, and then go watch them shred the demo at Skate South. Check out the Subsect Web site for the details.

Ed Templeton just returned home from the Beautiful Losers art exhibit opening in Italy. He is sleeping off the jet lag and will soon be back to his normal routine of working on Toy Machine ads, updating the Toy Machine Web site and skating around SoCal.

Kevin “Spanky” Long went on a spontaneous trip to Mexico last week with his girlfriend. He really enjoyed getting away from L.A. for a bit, and is now back skating around and having a good time.

Bryan Herman is having a great week. He just got the cast off of his leg, so he’s been getting used to walking again. Now Bryan can wear two shoes again…just in time for the debut of his first-ever pro model shoe, the Herman by Emerica, which will hit skate shops everywhere on March 1. Bryan is rocking his new shoe with pride, and can’t wait to go skate in it.

Leo Romero got a hairbrained idea to throw a kegger at the the Emerica Mansion II last Friday. Due to rain and inadequate promotion, few people showed, but he had a great time anyway. Leo went out to Northridge College on Sunday and did a really gnarly trick on a gap-to-rail made famous by Heath. We can’t tell you what he did, but you’ll be stoked when you see it.

Aaron Suski and Brandon Westgate are currently on a Birdhouse trip to Spain and Portugal until March 3. Check out Suski's kick-ass interview and Birdhouse ad in the March 2006 issue of Slap.

Chris Senn is in Australia right now, skating around getting ready for the Bondi Bowl-a-Rama contest this Saturday, February 25. Too bad he won't be at the Subsect Grand Opening!

Austin Stephens just made the switch over to RVCA clothing and his first ad, a stylish pole jam, is in all the new mags.

Braydon Szafranski just got back from Brazil and has been skating with his homies around L.A. He will be skipping town again on February 28 for Dustin Dollin’s wedding in Australia

Matt Allen has been out shooting photos for the upcoming am issue of TransWorld. He has been holding it down in Victorville, and is looking for a new place to live because the house they are in now is getting sold. Aaargh! Those perfect hubbas in the backyard will go to waste!
