Spent a week with Jivaro wheels skating Montana's concrete. Here's the story....

I grew up and still live in Sountern California. As nice as the weather is and as popular as skateboarding has become it still amazes me how shitty the skateparks are. Besides the few exceptions (Washington St, San Pedro, etc.) Dont get me wrong it's getting better, but it's taking way too long for this state to figure it out. Exspecially Southern California. I dont want to pay, I dont want to wear pads and I dont need a park monitor telling me when it's ok to skate.

A few weeks back I got a call from my friend Jamie Weller saying himself and the rest of the Jivaro family were going to Montana to skate some of the new parks that they have been building out there. Luckly SkateboardRevoltuion is down and hooked me up with this nice trip. Next thing you know I'm out of non stop hassel Southern California and on my way to the skatepark network of this country..... The Northwest.
Did you know that they are building 19 skateparks throughout Portland City? Yes, it's true. 19 well designed parks by skaters for skaters will be built by the year 2020. What the hell is going on in Southern California? Oh yeah that's right, lands too valuable to waste on public parks. You know how many track homes could fit right there!!! So.Cal for life!
Can you believe this shit? In Montana this lame nature stuff is everywhere. Seriously everywhere. Rivers and lakes left and right. Do you know how hard this nature stuff made for my phone reception? Stupid trees. Oh and this cliff jump was actually free. Everything about it was free. We didn't have to pay to park. We didn't have to get a day permit. We just randomly pulled off the highway to cool down with a swim and Wu Weller found a spot to jump off of.
