So we are in Germany!! At the ISPO trade show in Munich. It’s big, like basically everything else in this country. In a country that’s famous for bratwurst and Weiss bier, we decided to bring a mini ramp at the booth. Well…I guess we all have seen smaller ones…It was good, and everybody at the tradeshow was talking about it!!
After a warm up session and a couple noise checks from the Volcom stage, the show was ready to begin. And what a show it was!!!!!
With the crème de la crème of European transition skaters it had to be huge!! The tricks got bigger every minute, and you can just imagine how it got after an hour. People from all over the world showed up to see some serious skateboarding, and the fans where crazed.
Freebies were raining, and people were fighting to get a hold of our Rock inspired items.
The judges had a tuff job. The guys where pushing the limits. We threw out a lot of 50 euros too keep them going. And believe me; it was sure worth the money!! After putting up a great show, the prize money of 500 euros went down to Alain Goikotxea for an uber clean 5-0 transfer from the oververt to the ramp.
What is a Volcom booth without some live music? Our friends at Sexty Sexers set the standard for the night. People was dancing, singing and just rocking around to the tunes. Happy faces all over the place.
After a long day of happenings, Turbonegro kicked off at the Georg Ester Halle. Stay tuned for a hot report from that night!!
