Transworld Makes Two Key Additions
Oceanside, CA – TransWorld Media, a subsidiary of Bonnier Corporation, is pleased to announce two key additions to its marketing and TransWorld SKATEboarding teams. Steve Luther has been named Director of Marketing for board sports and Aaron Regan also returns as Art Director for TransWorld SKATEboarding.
Luther previously served as Marketing and Events Manager at TransWorld from 1998 through 2001. For the past year, Luther has served as marketing director for C1RCA footwear. While there, Luther oversaw all aspects of brand marketing and team management. Prior to his tenure at C1RCA, Luther spent five years running the skate marketing department at Vans, as well as carrying out vital skate-team management functions. "We are very excited to have Steve back in the fold at TransWorld,” said Anke Corbin, Vice President of Marketing for TransWorld Media. “His creativity and understanding of the skate, surf, and snow markets adds to TransWorld’s overall marketing strength. Several of the premier events in skateboarding have been conceived and developed into incredible successes due to Steve’s involvement. We look forward to his passion and commitment to growing the core audience.”
Aaron Regan comes back to TransWorld SKATEboarding after a two year stint as Art Director at Surfer Magazine. Beginning in 1996, Regan served as TransWorld SKATEboarding’s assistant art director under Ted Newsome. When Newsome left TransWorld in 2001, Regan took over as art director until his departure in February 2005.
“Aaron is a huge asset to the TransWorld SKATEboarding team,” says Skin Philips, Editor-In-Chief and Chief Content Director of TransWorld SKATEboarding. “Aaron brings great experience and history to the position and we’re excited to have him back on board. We're putting the band back together.”
