Jart Skateboards arrived at our office about a week ago for us to write some reviews on and I was pretty stoked to be chosen to get to test out a board for free to write a review. The three boards they sent over were pro models for Danny Gonzales, Bastien Salabanzi, and Ivan Rivado. I was surprised to see that Bastien had landed on a company that wasn't very well known in the States. The rest of the team is composed of some real rippers from Europe such as: J.M. Roura, Mathieu Dupuy, Jan Kliewer, Orlando Acosta, Eero Anttilia, and Mark Frolich. I know, I know, none of you have heard of them before because they don't set up shop in California and skate Hollywood High everyday. But they all kill it and have great style. You can check them out at www.jartskateboards.com. Now for the actual product review: The boards we were sent were all good except the Ivan Rivado board has a slight warp defect, but it's nothing skating it won't bend back to normal. Aside from that issue the decks are immaculate, they have a steeper concave, and tons of pop. I would compare the pop/concave to that of a Habitat board, but here is the real kicker on the Jart boards they come with a TWO YEAR manufacturers warranty. What does that mean for you? It means that if your board de-laminates or is suffering from other manufacturing defects it will be replaced at no cost to you. Jart is going to be making a mark on the skate scene in the U.S. soon, they are growing in popularity in Europe and if you're smart you'll jump one one soon, and have the heads up on the next big thing!
